The longest marathon on a swing by an individual is 31 hours and is shared between Michael Kurtz and Adam Wiseman (both Canada) at a charity event named ‘The Big Swing’ in Toronto, Canada, from 22 August to 24 August 2008.

Both men decided to share the record after steping off their repective swings at the same time. The attempt was a successful charitable event organised in conjunction with the the Better Day Alliance Foundation. They raised $4,000 in on site donations. The attempt lasted from 9pm on Friday 22 August to 6am on Sunday 24 August 2008.
