The longest marathon playing tennis, singles, was 60 hr 59 min and 58 sec by Sam Angel and Katie Martens ( (both USA) at the Peak Health and Wellness Center in Missoula, Montana, USA, from 25-27 March 2011. The duo completed 48, best-of-3-set matches with Sam winning 31 and Katie 17.

In honor of the young adults’ efforts, the Missoula City Council and mayor named the week of 27 March 2011 “Sam Angel and Katie Martens Week.”
