The longest surfing marathon lasted 29 hr 1 min and was achieved by Kurtis Loftus (USA) at Jacksonville Beach, Florida, USA, on 26-27 October 2011.

The 50-year-old Loftus surfed 313 waves during his time in the ocean, using the same board throughout.
