The longest underwater live radio broadcast (unsupported) is 4 hours, 43 minutes and 54 seconds. It was achieved by Richard Hatch (UK), presenter on BFBS Radio, at The Underwater Studios, Essex, UK, on 24 November 2011.

The record attempt was called the ‘BFBS Pool Party’ was broadcast live to British troops around the world and on the front line including Afghanistan. The show included a live pool side performance by British band Toploader.
