The longest underwater walk was 73.39 m (240 ft, 9 in) by Joseph Wilkie (USA) at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center in Tonawanda, New York, USA, on 5 August 2011.

Wilkie held a 25 lb (11.34 kg) weight plate to keep himself submerged whilst running along the floor of the center’s pool.
