The most blood pressure readings taken in 8 hours is 8,368 and was achieved by Vadodara Municipal Corporation and Health Department during an event organised by Chief Health Officer Dr. Devesh M. Patel (all India), at the Akota stadium, Vadodara, India, on 7 April 2013.
The record attempt took place on World Health Day and the theme for 2013 campaign was Hypertension. The aim of the record was to raise awareness of high blood pressure and promote behavioural change with respect to primary prevention in order to improve the chances of early detection and promote effective management for patients.
