From a distance of 1.2 m (3 ft 11 in) Fariborz (John) Haddadian (Sweden) extinguished 12 candles (measuring 20 cm (7.8 in) tall and standing 20 cm (7.8 in) apart on an 80 cm (2 ft 1 in) high stand) with just a 12 x 7 mm (0.4 x 0.2 in) thick and 1.1 m (3 ft 7 in) long chain, without touching the wax on the set of Guinness Rekord TV, Stockholm, Sweden, on 28 November 2001.

Technique is that he can only touch the light and not the candle with the chain. The space between the candle and the person making the attempt is 120- 130 cm.

Each candle was 20 cm (7.8 in) apart.
