The most valuable mug was made from 23 carat gold and bought for 1,000,023 Thai Baht (£17,293, $33,842) by Nestlé Thai Ltd. on 9 January 2008.

The mug was made by Yoo Long Kim Kee Gold Store, Bangkok, Thailand and given away as part of a promotional offer for NesCafé in Thailand. It weighed 1,092.5 grams.
