The most goals scored by an individual in a football European club competition (single season) was 17 by Radamel Falcao (Colombia) playing for F.C. Porto in the 2011 UEFA Europa League. Porto won the title, its second all-time in the competition.

The previous record for the most goals in a single UEFA Europa League competition was 15 by Jurgenn Klinsmann in the 1996 edition. The most goals in a single UEFA Champions League/European Cup season, meanwhile, is 14 by Jose Altafini for Milan in 1963.
