The record for the most kites flown by one person simultaneously is 43 and was achieved by Ma Qinghua (China) in Weifang City, Shandong Province, China, on 7 November 2006.

The event was organised by Zheng Da Zong Yi of China Central Television and Weifang International Kite Festival Office.
