The most trees planted simultaneously was 64,096 and was achieved by the people of Siruma and Tinamba (Philippines), in Camarines Sur in association with the El Verde programme, Philippines, on 23 February, 2011.
The attempt started at 11:00 a.m and ended at 11:15 a.m.
6,893 participants actively took part and planted an area with a size of 32 hectars big.
Species (Narra, Agoho, Pili Canarium, Molave, Camagong, Dao and Lumbang) which are appropriate for this site were planted.This record attempt is a part of the EL Verde 2012 project.
Their aim is to plant in total 12.000 000 trees until 2012.
