Since it opened in Japan in 1996, “Body Worlds: Fascination beneath the Surface,” by Gunther von Hagens (Germany), has travelled to 16 cities and as of March 2004 had received a total of more 14.165 million visitors – making it the world´s most visited travelling art exhibition.
