The most wind socks flown simultaneously, at a single location, was 6,478, achieved by the Kowloon Federation of Associations (Community Services) Foundation Ltd. (Hong Kong), in Lei Yu Mun Village, Kowloon, Hong Kong, on 15 May 2011.

The wind socks in the display took the form of carp streamers, each streamer was individually coloured and carried a unique inscription. The streamers were flown to raise awareness about the plight of Japanese people suffering due to recent natural disasters.
