The strongest robot arm has a payload of 1,199 kg (2,645 lb) and belongs to the M-2000iA/1,200, an industrial robot created by Fanuc Robotics (USA) and unveiled in October 2008.

Tallest building unoccupied

The tallest building that is completely unoccupied is the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang, North Korea. Although it had reached its full height of 330 m (1,082 ft) the building was not finished when construction was halted in 1992. The hotel is the world’s 18th tallest building and would be the world’s tallest hotel if completed. The hotel was said to have been built in anticipation of a joint Olympic Games between the two Koreas, but was abandoned when the Games went to South Korea.

Tallest indoor music fountain

The tallest indoor music fountain had a water column height of up to 18.2 m (59 ft 8 in) and was constrcuted and installed at the Aqua Mall of the Lotte Department Store, Busan, South Korea, and was completed on 24 August 2010. The Dutch are the world’s tallest citizens, with the average Dutch male measuring 184 cm (6 feet) tall. Studies show that the Dutch continue to grow and that by 2012 their men will average 186 cm (6 ft 1 in) and their women 172 cm (5 ft 7 in). In early 2000, tall activists persuaded the Dutch government to raise the ceiling levels stipulated in the nation’s building codes by 20 cm. Tallest mountain in the Solar System, non volcanic

Boosaule Montes, on Jupiter’s active moon Io, reach up to 16,000 m (52,493 ft) in height. Rather than being built up by volcanic eruptions, like Olympus Mons, they were formed by tectonic activity (more like Mt Everest) generated by enormous stresses in the Ionian crust. Boosaule Montes is around as high as Everest and K2 on top of each other.

Tallest minaret

The tallest minaret in the world is that of the Great Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca, Morocco, measuring 200 m (656 ft). The cost of construction of the mosque was 5 billion dirhams (£360 million US$513.5 million)). Among minarets of earlier centuries the tallest is the Qutb Minar, south of New Delhi, India, built in 1194 to a height of 72.54 m (238 ft). The mosque can accomodate 25,000 worshippers in its prayer hall, which has a retractable roof and a further 80,000 outside.

Tallest sand sculpture

The tallest sand sculpture is 22.43 meters (73 ft 7 in) and was achieved at the 12th Gotone China Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival in Zhujiajian, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China, on 29 September 2010. The sculpture was titled why Is the Hummingbird King of All Animals, depicting animals such as lions,eagles, monkeys,and other kinds. The sand sculpture took 78 days to complete

Tallest twins – male

Identical twins Michael and James Lanier (USA) (b. 27 November 1969) of Troy, Michigan, both stand 2.235m (7ft 3in). Their sister Jennifer is 1.57 m (5 ft 2 in) tall. . The brothers played  basketball at The University of Denver and UCLA, respectively.
