Longest no-hands motorcycle wheelie

AC Farias (Netherlands) performed an 89 m (292 ft) wheelie without using his hands at the MotoRAI event in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 22 October 2004. He lifts the bike onto its back wheel in the usual manner and once it is balanced he lets go of the handlebars and continues to ride.

Longest pergola

The longest pergola measures 40.42 m (132.6 ft) long and is covered by leaves and grapes. It was made by Lidy and Niek Reijnen in Noord Beveland, Netherlands, and was measured on 22 August 2005.

Longest rope skipped

The longest rope skipped with measures 44.97 metres (147 ft 6 in) and was created by Stichting Rijksmuseum Het Zuiderzeemuseum (Netherlands) in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands, on 9 April 2011. The rope was used to skip 10 times, as demanded by the guidelines, by three girls.

Longest underwater power cable

The longest underwater power cable is 577.5 km (358.84 miles) long and connects the norwegian power grid at Feda with the dutch power grid at Eemshaven. The cable was laid by TenneT TSO B.V. and Statnett and inaugurated on 11 September 2008. The single cable weighs 37.5 kg per metre, the double cable 85 kg per metre. The current passing through the cable is direct current (DC). the cable has a capacity of 700 MW.

Longest wedding dress train

The longest wedding dress train measured 2488.65 m (8,164 ft 10 in) and was created by Lichel van den Ende (Netherlands). It was presented and measured in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, on 22 December 2009. The wedding dress was created to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of “Terra Art Projects”.

Longest woodblock print

The longest woodblock print measured 151.50 m (497 ft) in length and was created by 80 Students of De Eindhovense Schools (all Netherlands), and exhibited at De Eindhovense School, Eindhoven, Netherlands, on 30 January 2009. The painting was entiteled “Holland and Nicaragua” to create awareness of Eindovens twin city in Nicaragua, Chinandega.

Most aircraft flown in parabolas by an individual

The most aircraft flown in parabolas by an individual is nine, by European Space Agency physicist and engineer Dr Ir Vladimir Pletser (Belgium), between March 1986 and May 2010. The flights were conducted over USA, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria.The aircraft flown were KC-135/930, KC-135/931, DC-9/30, Ilyushin IL-76 MDK, Caravelle ‘Zero-G’, Airbus A300 ‘Zero-G’, Cessna Citation II, Short Skyvan,and Fouga Magister. A combined total of 5,476 parabolas were flown between March 1986 and May 2010 for research purposes.
