The world’s longest goldfish (Carassius auratus) is owned by Joris Gijsbers and measured 47.4 cm (18.7 in) from snout to tail-fin end on 24 March 2003 in Hapert, The Netherlands.

The longest gaming session in indoor freefall lasted 18 min 52 sec and was achieved by [N] Gamer and Jesse Moerkerk (Netherlands) at Indoor Skydive Roosendaal, Netherlands, on 11 January 2011. Adjudicated by Gaz Deaves. Jesse is a mountain of a man! He’s 6’5″ (190 cm) and 120 kg (265 lb) but he was extremely graceful while suspended in the wind tunnel.

Longest hammock

On 22 June 2002, The Hessenstam Hattem of the Voerman Scouting Group unveiled a giant hand-knotted hammock measuring 2.5 m (8.2ft) wide and 129.29 m (424.17ft) long, in Hattem, Netherlands. The hammock was so huge it had to be hung between two cranes. Boy Scout Eduard Poot (Netherlands), age 11, was the first person to try the hammock.

The longest marathon playing badminton, singles, is 24 hr 5 min 32 sec by William ten Zijthoff and Johan Drenthen (both Netherlands) in Beilen, Drenthe, Netherlands, on 23-24 August 2009. William and Johan raised 2.500 Euros for their attempt, all of which they donated to the Foundation for Handicapped Sports, a Dutch charity. The longest marathon playing badminton doubles lasted 30 hr 00 min 00 sec, and was achieved by Pepijn De Lange, Roy Reijbroek, Rick Steuten and Dirk Terpstra (all Netherlands) at Sporthal Ussenstelt, in Oss, Netherlands, from 30 June to 1 July 2012. Dirk and Roy triumphed by 86 games to 83, over the team of Rick and Pepijn.

The longest marathon playing tennis doubles is 57 hr 32 min 27 sec, achieved by Sipke de Hoop, Wichard Heidekamp, Andre Poel, Rob Hamersma (all Netherlands) at the Zuidlaarder Tennis Club, Zuidlaren, Netherlands, on 16-18 August 2013. The group of four was able to play 46 matches, consisting of 112 sets and 975 games.

The longest marathon playing volleyball (indoors) lasted 85 hr and was achieved by members of SVU Volleybal (Netherlands) at the Sports Centre Uilenstede in Amstelveen, Netherlands on 27 to 30 December 2011. The sides played a total of 63 matches, consisting of 338 sets and 14,635 total points scored.

The longest radio DJ marathon lasted 198 hours and was achieved by Giel Beelen (Netherlands) on the GIEL! Breakfast Show on 3FM Radio, in Hilversum, Netherlands, from 12 May 2014 to 20 May 2014.
