The most mashed potato eaten in 30 seconds is 266 g (9.38 oz) and was achieved by Hasib Zafar at the British Potato Conference in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK, on 23 November 2011. On the day of the attempt held at the British Potato Conference, two people from Cockerill’s tried to break the record and although both beat the 163g, Hasib had managed to eat more mashed potato than his colleague. The mash had been warmed before consumption with all the guidleines being followed.
