The tallest matchstick model was a scale replica of the Eiffel Tower built by Toufic Daher (Lebanon) that measured 6m 53cm in height and was unveiled at City Mall, Beirut, Lebanon, on 11 November 2009 in celebration of Guinness World Records day.

Mr. Daher used approximately 6 million matches in building the model.
