The steepest tightrope walked on had an angle of inclination of 36 degrees and was achieved by Aisikaier Wubulikasimu (China) and Maurizio Zavatta (Italy) in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China, on 28 November 2011.

It was an outdoor attempt for the Tv show CCTV-Guinness World Records Special 2011.
