Treadmill, Distance run in 24 hours – team (female)

The greatest distance run on a treadmill in 24 hours by a team of 12 women is 317.66 km (197.38 miles) and was achieved at Lashkagar Forward Operating Base, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, from 11 to 12 June 2009. The 12 runners were members of the Army, Royal Air Force and Civil Service, deployed on Operation Herrick 10.

The attempt commenced at 2000hrs on the 11th of June and finished on the 12th of June 2009. Temperature reading was 45 degrees. The aim of the challenge was to raise funds for the Afghan Appeal and BLESMA.
