The youngest individual to score 10,000 points in an NBA career is Lebron James (b. 30 December 1984, USA), aged 23 years and 59 days. While playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers (USA), Lebron James scored 26 points against the Boston Celtics (USA), in Boston, Massachussets, USA, on 27 February 2007, surpassing the mark previously held by Kobe Bryant (b. 23 August 1978), who was 24 years 193 days old when he scored his 10,000th point playing for the Los Angeles Lakers (USA) in 2003.
It took Lebron James 368 games to do it, becoming the ninth fastest in NBA history.
Lebron James is also the youngest player to achieve 5,000 points, the youngest player to score 50 points in an NBA match, and the youngest individual to win Most Valuable Player award of All-Star game.
