Heaviest bony fish

The heaviest bony fish in the ocean is the Sunfish (Mola mola) which has been recorded weighing 2 tonnes (4,400 lb) and measuring 3 m (10 ft) from fin tip to fin tip. Mola mola actually comes from the latin meaning millstone. Sunfish are found in all oceans in tropical or temperate climates and feed on zooplankton, small fishes and algae. For reference, sharks and rays for example are cartilagnous, not bony as in the case of the Sunfish.

Heaviest cabbage

The heaviest cabbage weighed 62.71 kg (138.25 lb) and was presented at the Alaska State Fair by Scott A. Robb (USA) in Palmer, Alaska, USA, on 31 August 2012. Scott A. Robb has previously held a number of Guinness World Records for heaviest vegetables, including the ‘Heaviest turninp’, among others.

Heaviest building moved intact

The heaviest building moved intact is the Fu Gang Building at West Bank Road Wuzhou, in the Guangxi Province of China. It was successfully relocated by the Guangzhou Luban Corporation on 10 November 2004.The building weighs 15,140.4 metric tonnes (33.3 million lb) and is 34 m (111 ft) tall. The building was moved 35.62 metres horizontally and it took eleven days to complete the relocation.

The Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, Romania is believed to be the heaviest building in the world. It is constructed from 700,000 tonnes (1.5 billion lb) of steel and bronze combined with 1 million m³ (35.3 million ft³) of marble, 3,500 tonnes (7.7 million lb) of crystal glass and 900,000 m³ (31.7 million ft³) of wood. Construction began in 1984.

John Evans of Palmer, Alaska, USA, grew a carrot weighing 8.61 kg (18 lb 13 oz) when measured at the 1998 Alaska State Fair. Heaviest competitive bodybuilder – male

The heaviest competitive male bodybuilder is Daniele Seccarecci (Italy) whose competition weight is 135 kg (297.62 lbs). He was weighed on the set of Lo Show dei Record in Rome, Italy, on 18 March 2010. The competition weight must be taken when the person is participating to an internationally recognised body building competition and the body is therefore at its best form. Daniele normally weighs 150 kg.

Heaviest coin-like medallion

The largest coin- like medallion has the dimensions of 1m (39.37 In) diameter, 2.3 cm (0.9 In) thick and it weighed 185.88 kg (409.8 lb). The coin-like medallion was made by Damas jewellery (UAE) to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum Medical Science award in Dubai, UAE on 15 December 2008. The coin-like medallion has a value of 1million AED ($272,257) and was made of fine silver and gold plated with 22 carat gold.
