The largest hockey lesson involved 459 participants who were led by Tristan Woodhouse, Ex-Australian Hockey Player and Elizabeth Basson, Head of Sport, at the Streatham & Clapham High School, in London, UK, on 11 February 2009. Ben Marsden and James Tindall, members of the Great British Olympic Hockey team also attended and participated in the record. The lesson, which lasted for 35 minutes included a variety of hockey skills. The record included girls aged 8 to 18, staff and some parents.
The largest deliberately buried hoard of coins ever found was the Brussels hoard of 1908 containing c. 150,000 coins.
The largest history lesson was attended by 14,257 third grade school children from Orange County, California (USA) at Angel Stadium, in California, USA on 8 November 2011. The educational program, named the Gift of History, taught students about the deep history of Orange County. The lesson even included presentations from Caroline Sunshine, elected officials and local education leaders, Jose Mota, commentator for the Anaheim Angels baseball team.
The largest horse parade involved 11,125 horses and their riders and was achieved by the Federation of Mongolian Horse Racing Sport and Trainers (FMHRST) during an event organised by Mr.M.Enkhbold (FMHRST Chairman) and Mr.P.Sergelen (FMHRST Secretary General), in Khui Doloon Khudag, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on 9 August 2013. The largest horn spread on a domestic living steer measures 292.1 cm (115 in) in length, and was achieved by ‘Big Red 907’, a Texas Longhorn (cattle) belonging to El Coyote Ranch (USA) in Kingsville, Texas, USA, and measured on 5 October 2013.
The world record for the largest horn spread (Texas Longhorn) measured a total length of 251 cm (98.8 in) in July 2002. The horns belong to Jim Williams (USA) of Midland, Texas, USA. When measured vertically in a straight line from the ground to the base of the horn, one was 128.2 cm (50.5 in) and the other 122.8 cm (48.3 in).
The largest horn ensemble consisted of 444 musicians and was achieved by Art of Living Foundation (India), in Kollam, Kerala, India, on 9 January 2013. The 444 musicians all played the C-shaped long Indian horn called the Kombu or Sringa. The performance lasted for 25 minutes.
The largest horn circumference on a steer measured 95.25 cm (37.5 in) on 6 May 2003 and belong to Lurch, an African watusi steer owned by Janice Wolf (USA) of Gassville, Arkansas, USA. The largest horseshoe sculpture contained 1,071 horsehoes and was created by Donnie Faulk (USA) in Pulaski, Tennessee, United States, with the final measurement being made on 4 September 2006. The sculpture was a lifesize horse.
The largest handforged horseshoe measures 56 cm (1 ft 10 in) height, 61.5 cm (2 ft) width and was created by six clients and two employees of Caritas Tagesstätte Krumbach (all Austria) at the international blacksmith festival FERRACULUM 2008 in Ybbsitz, Austria, on 21 June 2008. The piece of flatsteel used for the attempt was 60mm (2 in) by 20 mm (1 in) with a length of 1350mm (4 ft 5 in).
