Fastest battery powered remote-controlled model car (RC)

The fastest speed achieved by a battery-powered radio-controlled model car is 276.74 km/h (171.96 mi/h), set by the “R/C Bullet” driven by Nic Case (USA) at McFarland, California, USA on 19 December 2012. The “R/C Bullet” is a four wheel drive, 1:10 scale model powered solely by an electric motor. The power source is 12 5,000mAh lithium polymer batteries. The car was designed, built and driven by Nic Case.

Fastest bicycle speed (in slipstream)

The highest speed ever achieved on a bicycle is 268.831 km/h (166.944 mph) by Fred Rompelberg (Netherlands) behind a wind-shield fitted to a dragster car at Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah, USA on 3 October 1995. It should be noted that considerable help was provided by the slipstreaming effect of the lead vehicle.

Fastest bicycle journey Cairo to Cape

Robert Knol (Netherlands) cycled from Cairo, Egypt, to Cape Town, South Africa, in 70 days 3 hr 50 min from 24 January to 4 April 2011. The ride covered 11,198 km (6,958.1 miles) through Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Robert started his journey from the Dutch Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and completed it at the Dutch Consulate in Cape Town, South Africa. The trip was unsupported and unaided. Bobby Root (USA) achieved a speed of 138.56 km/h (86.1 mph) whilst riding his bicycle on the rear wheel at Palmdale, California, USA, on 31 January 2001 for Guinness World Records: Primetime. Root used the slipstream of a vehicle to reach the necessary speed before performing his wheelie. Fastest car window opened by a dog

The fastest time a dog has unwound a non-electric car window is 11.34 seconds and was achieved by Striker, a border collie owned and trained by Francis V. Gadassi (Hungary). The record was set on 1 September 2004 in Quebéc City, Canada. Striker used his paw and nose to perform the record attempt, and kept checking his progress on the way. Fastest car dismantle

A team from Espoon Ammattioppilaitos (a Finnish technical school) consisting of Tapio Heino, Aaro-Pekka Nousiainen, Sampo Vuolteenaho, Ahmed Abdirizag, Janne Spanow, Panu Natunen, Mikael Gorski, Juha Määttä, and Sami Rissanen, dismantled a five-door family saloon car in 35 minutes on 28 November 2001. The car was essentially a ‘rolling shell’ with all parts removed except for the bodywork, chassis and axles.
