The record for the largest ensemble of Matouqin consisted of 2008 musicians and was set in Qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County,Songyuan City, Jilin Province, China, on 15 July 2008. The record event was also part of the celebration of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch relay in Songyuan City, Jilin province, China. The oldest Matouqin player was 59 year old, the youngest one was 8 years old.The players played two songs, which last more than 7 minutes.

The largest ice maze is 1,194.33 m² (12,855.68 ft²) in area, achieved by the Arctic Glacier Ice Maze (USA) at the Buffalo Powder Keg Festival in Buffalo, New York, USA, on 26 February 2010. The maze was created by Roaming Buffaloes, a social networking club for Western New Yorkers. The maze’s width was 25.85 m (84.80 ft) and the length was 46.21 m (151.60 ft).
