The longest credit on a single is 1,491 people on the recording ‘Was Ist Passiert?’ released by PUR (Germany) on 20 October 2003 in Germany. Those credited are fans who registered via the band’s website. The single had over 21,000 sales in Germany to February 2004, and the credit is printed in the liner notes as well as read out by the band on the recording itself.

Longest covered promenade The Long Corridor in the Summer Palace in Beijing, China, runs for 728m 2388ft and is built entirely of wood and divided by crossbeams into 273 sections. The Long Corridor’s crossbeams, as well as the ceiling and side pillars, have over 10,000 paintings of famous Chinese landscapes, episodes from folk tales, flowers and birds.

The longest successful cornhole shot was 32.3 m (106 ft) and was achieved by Aaron Burris (USA) in East Glenn, Indiana, USA, on 30 October 2010. Aaron Burris took 54 shots to successfully hole the bean bag on the day.

Longest cooking marathon (individual)

The longest cooking marathon by an individual is 40 hours and was achieved by Benjamin J. Perry (USA) in Lincoln, Rhode Island, USA, on 12 March 2014. Perry is a student at the Metropolitan Regional Career & Technical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, and donated all food prepared to two local homeless shelters.

The longest cooked salami measures 16.09 m (52 ft 9.46 in) and was made by Fratelli Daturi snc (Italy), in Stradella, Italy, on 4 September 2011. The record for the longest dance party was achieved by Unique Events Limited (Ireland) and began on 27 October 2006 at 12:00 with 40 dancers, 31 of which completed the marathon after 55 hours, at the Quay Front, Wexford, Ireland, on 29 October 2006.

75 scouts from the Glimåkra Scout Troop baked the longest damper bread, measuring 125 m (410 ft 1 in) in length, in Glimåkra, Sweden, on 9 September 2006 The bread was 125 m (410 ft 1 in) long, it weighed 50.2 kg (110.7 lb) before baking, 42.5 kg (93.7 lb) afterwards. It had a diameter of 3.5 cm (1.38 inches) and a circumference of 12.0 cm (4.72 inches)

The longest curly wurly that was stretched in three minutes is 285.5 cm (9 ft 4 in) and was achieved by Tracy Jane Sullivan (UK), at the Cheese and Grain during the Frome Chocolate Festival, in Somerset, UK, on 20 November 2011. The longest crochet chain made whilst running a marathon is 139.4 m (457.35 ft) and was achieved by Susie Hewer (UK) at the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon in London, UK, on 13 April 2014. Susie finished in a time of 5 hr 40m 47 sec and averaged an astounding 5.3 metres per mile in beating her own record that she set back at the 2010 London Marathon.
