The fastest time to escape from a regulated Posey straitjacket is 4.69 seconds and was achieved by Sofia Romero (UK) at the Aylestone Leisure Centre, Leicester, UK on 9 June 2011. Sofia attempted the record five times and the fifth was the fastest. She used a regulated Posey straitjacket, not a theatrical one, in accordance with the guidelines.

The Fastest Farmer’s walk over 20 m carrying two weights of 150 kg each is 7.55 sec and was achieved by Zydrunas Savickas (Lithuania) on the set of Lo Show Dei Record, in Milan, Italy, on 14 April 2011. The fastest espresso machine is the ‘Swiss Espresso Extractor’, designed and built by A. Schurr, J. Lüönd, A. Lütold (all Switzerland) and SK tec SA. It produced 11.5 litres (3 US gal) of espresso coffee in one minute on 26 September 2008.

Fastest fire fighting attack, Class A – CTIF

The fastest completion of the CTIF’s Fire Fighting Attack Class A competition is 28.5 seconds and was achieved by the Ebersegg fire brigade (Austria) at the 15th International Fire Brigade Competition in Mulhouse, France, on 19 July 2013. The CTIF’s “fire-fighting Olympics” take place every four years. This is the second time Ebersegg have won the title, having been victorious in the 1989 competition, and they defeated 80 other teams to win the 2013 Class A division. The fastest fiddle player is Frankie Gavin (Ireland) who played “The Foxhunter’s Reel” at 150 bpm. The live performance took place at the Aula Maxima at the National University of Ireland (Galway), in Co. Galway, Ireland, on 20 September 2010. Fastest ferret

On 11 July 1999 at the North England Ferret Racing Championships held in Blythe, Northumberland,UK, an albino ferret named ‘Warhol’, owned by Jacqui Adams (UK), ran the 10 m (32 ft 9 in) tube race in 12.59 sec thus beating 150 other ferret competitors. Warhol weighed 2.72 kg (6 lb) at the time of the race.
