Longest football tour

The longest football tour was made by Lenton Griffins Football Club (UK) who visited 12 countries between 3 July and 3 August 2004. The team played fixtures in: Wales, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Liechenstein, Switzerland, Italy, France, Andorra, Spain and Morrocco. There were also inadmissable fixtures played in England and Ireland.

Longest fondue table

The longest fondue table measures 575 metres (1,886 ft 5 in) and was created by Brienz Rothorn Bahn AG and Luftseilbahn Sörenberg-Brienzer Rothorn AG on the Brienzer Rothorn, Switzerland, on 19 July 2008.

Longest flower structure

The longest flower structure is 166.15 m (545 ft 1.3 in) and was achieved by the Organizing Committee of the 10th China Chrysanthemum Exhibition (China) at an event held in Kaifeng City, Henan Province, China, on 18 October 2010. The flower structure was in the shape of a dragon and was covered with 112,800 pots of chrysanthemum flowers, covering an area of 1,450.68 m²(15,614 ft² 142 in²) with a volume of 761.607 m³(26,895.9 ft³).

Longest flower line

The longest flower line was 2,059.90 m (6,758 ft 2 in) long and consisted of 2,606 flower boxes with 13,000 flowers. The line was created by the company Elho (Netherlands) and was presented and measured in Tilburg, Netherlands, on 1 May 2009. The flowers were Chrysanthemums.

Longest flower box

The longest flower box measures 1,218.23 m (3,996 ft 9.72 in) long and joins the villages of Unterretzbach and Mitterretzbach (both Austria). It was measured in Unterretzbach, Austria, on 28 July 2010. The flower box lines the street “Landesstrasse 1027” from Unterretzbach to Mitterretzbach (district of Hollabrunn, federal state of Lower Austria, Republic of Austria).

Longest fuel range (Standard)

The greatest distance driven on a single standard tank of fuel is 2,545.80 km (1,581.88 miles) by a Volkswagen Passat 1.6 TDI BlueMotion, in an event organized by ‘Auto Motor i Sport’ (Croatia). It was driven by Marko Tomac and Ivan Cvetkovic (both Croatia) within Croatia, between 27 and 30 June 2011. Only Croatian roads were taken during the attempt. The average consumption amounted to 3.08 l/100 km (91.71 UK mpg, 76.37 US mpg).

Longest game of correspondence chess

Dr Reinhart Straszacker and Dr Hendrik Roelof van Huyssteen (both RSA) played their first game of correspondence chess in 1946. After 112 matches, with both men having won half the games, their record play of over 53 years ended with the death of Straszacker on 13 October 1999. The two men eventually met in 1969. After their first two games, the pair would have four matches on the go at the same time.

Longest golf putt in a major tournament

The longest recorded holed putt in a major tournament is 33.5 m 110 ft by; Jack Nicklaus (USA) in the 1964 Tournament of Champions; and Nick Price (Zimbabwe) in the 1992 United States PGA. Bob Cook (USA) sank a putt measured at 42.74 m 140 ft 23/4 in on the 18th at St Andrews in the International Fourball Pro Am Tournament on 1 Oct 1976.
