Longest grand slam tennis match (doubles)

The longest Grand Slam doubles tennis match ever played is 6 hr 9 min for the Wimbledon quarterfinal match between Daniel Nestor (Canada) and Mark Knowles (Bahamas) and Simon Aspelin (Sweden) and Todd Perry (Australia) on 4-5 July 2006. Knowles and Nestor won the match 5-7, 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, 23-21.

Longest hammock

On 22 June 2002, The Hessenstam Hattem of the Voerman Scouting Group unveiled a giant hand-knotted hammock measuring 2.5 m (8.2ft) wide and 129.29 m (424.17ft) long, in Hattem, Netherlands. The hammock was so huge it had to be hung between two cranes. Boy Scout Eduard Poot (Netherlands), age 11, was the first person to try the hammock.

Longest hair extension

The longest hair extension measured 820.29 m (2691 ft 3 in) and was achieved by Nikola Kulezic (Serbia) in Sabac, Serbia, on 26 June 2013. Nikola applied the hair extension to model Ivana Knezevic (Serbia). He used synthetic hair of different colours and shade, using the techniques of knotting, knitting, singeing and bonding.

Longest hand woven sheet of silk

The longest hand woven sheet of silk is 1,455.3 m (4,774.6 ft) and was made by Dr Abhijit Baruah (India), with the help of Jorhat Great Run Club, and presented at India Gate in New Delhi, India, on 8 April 2012. The mammoth length of silk took 11 people six months to complete and featured traditional Assamese designs.

Longest handshake relay

The longest handshake relay consisted of 1,238 participants and was achieved by Merseyside Scouts (UK), in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK, on 12 May 2013. The first handshake in the relay was done by Bear Grylls.

Longest handshake chain

The longest handshake chain involved 3,434 participants and was achieved by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation (Hong Kong), in Hong Kong, China on 2 November 2013. The participants included visually impaired participants, students from primary and secondary schools, members of local organisations/corporations such as Rotary Clubs and Standard Chartered Bank. Longest handshake

The longest handshake lasted 42 hours and 35 minutes and was achieved by Dinesh Timilsina and Pawan Timilsina (both Nepal) at the Everest College of Multiple Studies, Kathmandu, Nepal on 4-6 March 2011. Dinesh and Pawan are brothers. They started their attempt at 1pm on the 4th and finished at 7.35am on the 6th March. They attempted the record with the motive of spreading the name of their college and Nepal to the world.
