Shepherd is a Navy Pier employee, and rode in a custom decorated gondola with curtains, a Tiffany chandelier, flat screen TV, and Xbox. During the overnight periods he played “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” with friends at home via a wireless internet connection.

The longest karaoke marathon by multiple participants lasted for 781 hr 31 min, in an event organised by Tim Wedgwood (UK), at The Castle Hotel in Ladybank, Staffordshire, UK, between 30 December 2009- 1 February 2010. The attempt lasted for 32 days and over £1,000 was donated to the St Giles’ Hospice.
