The longest recorded escape by a recaptured prisoner was that of Leonard T. Fristoe, 77, who escaped from the Nevada State Prison, Carson City, Nevada, USA on December 15, 1923. Leonard was turned in by his son on November 15, 1969 at Compton, California. By then Leonard had had nearly 46 years of freedom under the name of Claude R. Willis. His crime was killing two sheriff’s deputies in 1920.
Professional stunt rider Colin Winkelmann (US) jumped his BMX bicycle 35.63 m (116 ft 11 in) after being towed to approximately 100 km/h (60 mph) behind a motorcycle at Agoura Hills, California, USA on 20 December 2000 for the Guinness World Records Primetime TV show. Colin committed suicide at 29, August 9, 2005 in Greenville, NC.

The longest ramp jump by a monster truck is 63.58 m (208.61 ft) and was achieved by Joe Sylvester (USA) in his Bad Habit professional monster truck at the 10th Annual Cornfield 500, Columbus, PA, USA, on 5 September 2010. The longest rail grind on a snowboard is 78.70 m (258 ft 2.42 in) by Calum Paton (UK), at the Milton Keynes Xscape in Milton Keynes, UK, on 2 December 2011. A total of 56 hand-made rafts were connected together in a single line and floated for 1.6 km (1 mile) down the Tokachi River near Obihiro, Japan, on 28 July 2002, as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Tokachi River Rafting organisation. Each raft was paddled by four crew members. All the rafts were identical, consisting of a wooden deck supported by four vehicle inner tubes. The length of the ‘snake’ was 136 m (446 ft).
