Longest single chassis parade float

The longest single chassis parade float measures 36.45 m (119 ft 7 in) and was achieved by Natural Balance Pet Foods (USA) during the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, USA, on 2 January 2012. The float featured a wave pool where dogs took turns surfing waves during the parade.

Longest singing marathon

The longest singing marathon by an individual lasted 105 hours and was achieved by Sunil Waghmare (India) in Nagpur, India, from 3 to 7 March 2012. The record attempt started at 11.06am on 3 March, with a variety of popular Indian songs being sung. No song was repeated within a 4 hour period. The attempt ended on the evening of 7 March after which Mr Waghmare joined in with a sing song with his supporters.

Longest sewing needle

The longest sewing needle is 2.46 metres (8 ft 1 in) long and was made by Nishant Choudhary, Rajbala Choudhary, Alok Sharma and Praveen Jakhar (all India). The needle was presented and measured in Jaipur, India, on 26 December 2009. 15 stitches were made with the needle on two pieces of black fabric, as requested by the guidelines.

Longest sesame twist

The longest sesame twist measured 2.66 m (8 ft 8 in) long and was made by the Laoliushi Fried Dough Twist General Store in Daying, Shaanxian, Henan, China on 27 September 2001. The dough twist weighed 88 kg (194 lb) with a diameter of 0.3 m (0.98 ft).

Longest sled race

The longest sled race is 70 metres (229 ft 8 in) long and was organized by Ski Club Uzwil (Switzerland) in Niederuzwil, Switzerland, on 25 September 2009. The race was organized to allow sledders to race the course one at a time, with individual times clocked for each racer. A total of 1,214 sledders particpated in the 8-hour event with Reto Giersberger (Switzerland) completing in the fastest time of 00:15.084.

Longest skittle marathon (alley)

The longest skittles marathon (alley) lasted 36 hours and was achieved by Andy Collins and Craig Carter (both UK) of the Allsports Skittles Team at Charlton Club in Cheltenham, UK, on 29-30 April 2011. The players played a standard 3 balls per hand and 6 hands per leg. They each completed 200 games with Andy totalling 7,449 pins and a 37.35 average while Craig notched 6,633 pins on a 33.17 average.
