The longest tandem ATV wheelie measured 2,029.97m (6,660 ft) and was completed by Roger LeBlanc and Jeff Gallant (both Canada) at Riverglade Speedway in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, on 12 November 2011. Not satisfied with just breaking the record, Le Blanc and Gallant managed to cover a distance over 8 times longer than the previous record holder.
The longest tandem ATV jump measured 15.99 m (52 ft 6 in) and was completed by Travis Pastrana and Erik Roner (both USA) at Godfrey Trucking/Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, on 17 November 2008 for the MTV show ‘Nitro Circus’. Pastrana was the driver of the Suzuki Quadsport Z400. The GWR episode will air January 2009.
The longest tamale was 15.78 m (51 ft 9 in) long and was made at the El Chico in Jackson, Tennessee, USA, on 5 May 2006.
The longest tail on a pony measures 4.08 metres (13 ft 5 in) and belongs to Golden Shante aka “Topper”, a Shetland Pony who is owned by Janine Sparks (USA). It was measured at Brookwood Farm in New Palestine, Indiana, USA, on 24 July 2010. Golden Shante was born on 21 April 1993.
The longest tail on a horse is 381 cm (12 ft 6 in) and was measured on the mare JJS Summer Breeze on 23 August 2007. She is owned by Crystal and Casey Socha of Augusta, Kansas, USA. Two slightly different measurements were provided. One was 12 ft 7 in by Mrs Williams, one of the witnesses, the other the above, by mr Mohney, a Vet. The world’s longest domestic cat tail measured 41.5 cm (16.34 in) on 13 February 2011 and belongs to Mymains Stewart Gilligan, or Stewie as he is called, who lives with his owners, Robin Hendrickson (USA) and Erik Brandsness (USA), in Reno, Nevada, USA. The longest marathon theatre performance by an individual lasted 110 hr 46 min and was achieved by Adrian Hilton (UK) when he recited the complete works of Shakespeare in a ‘Bardathon’ at the Shakespeare Festival, South Bank, London, UK between 16-21 July 1987.
The longest innings without scoring is 101 min by Geoff Allott (b. 24 December 1971) for New Zealand v. South Africa at Auckland on 2 March 1999. Allott faced a total of 77 deliveries.
The lengthiest recorded cricket match was the `timeless’ Test between England and South Africa at Durban, South Africa, on 3-14 March 1939. It was abandoned after ten days (eighth day rained off) because the ship taking the England team home was due to leave. The total playing time was 43 hr 16 min and a record Test match aggregate of 1,981 runs was scored.
The longest career as a church pianist/organist is 73 years and was achieved by Martha Godwin (b. 17 Jan 1927, USA), who has served as the pianist and organist of the Macedonia United Methodist Church in Southmont, North Carolina, USA, since April 1940, at the age of 13 years.
