The most expensive PlayStation Portable (PSP) jacket commercially available costs $35,000 (£18,000) and is made from 14-carat gold with 8-carat black and yellow diamonds on the front and a crocodile finish on the back. The accessory to the Sony PSP was made by Simmons Jewelry Co. (USA), and is also decorated with the dangling logos of their other brands, including Baby Phat and Phat Farm. The piece made its debut at the Pacific Design Center, West Hollywood, California, USA on 14 March 2005.

The most expensive sculpture sold at auction is Alberto Giacometti’s (Switzerland) bronze sculpture entitled L’Homme qui marche I (The Walking Man I) (1960), which sold to an anonymous bidder at Sotheby’s London, UK for a record £65,000,000 (then $103,676,000) on 3 February 2010. The six-foot-tall bronze depicts a wiry man in mid-stride, his right foot jutting forward, his head erect and his arms hanging at his side.

The most valuable piece of bread is a grilled toasted sandwich which sold for $28,000 (then £15,000) on Ebay in November 2004. The original owner, Diane Duyser of Miami, USA, was just about to tuck into her sandwich when she noticed it contained an image of the Virgin Mary.
