The most expensive wedding for pets was valued at $158,187.26 (£101,838) between Baby Hope Diamond (Coton de Tulear) and Chilly Pasternak (Virginia poodle), organized by Animal Fair Media Inc., Harriet Rose Katz, and the Jurimuah Essex Hotel in Central Park, New York, New York, USA, on 12 July 2012. The entire wedding was estimated to cost over $270,000. Most of the wedding elements were donated in order to raise money and awareness for the Humane Society of New York.

The most expensive weapon sold at auction is a sword used by the French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte (1769-1821), which achieved a record price of €4.8 million (£3.3 million; $6.5 million), when it was sold by one of the Emperor’s descendants to another branch of descendants, during an auction in Fontainebleau, France, on 10 June 2007. The world’s most expensive watch commercially available is the Super Ice Cube by Chopard, Switzerland which retails at $1,130,620 (€905,365) (£616,881). The watch has 66.16 carats of diamonds which includes 288 trapeze cut diamonds, 16 centre stones and 1,897 brilliant cut diamonds. A wall calendar featuring sketches of costume designs for characters from Alice in Wonderland was sold to an anonymous bidder for £36,000 (then US$57,848; €39,804) as part of a fundraising auction held in aid of the Muir Maxwell Trust and the Fettes Foundation (both UK). The auction took place at The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party held on The Queen’s Lawn at Fettes College, Edinburgh, UK on 3 July 2011.
