The Guinness World Records attempt was organised to open the new Virgin Mobile flagship store in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, and Sir Richard Branson attended to mark the occasion.

The most people crammed into an original FIAT 500 is 14 and was achieved by the students from ESSCA Business School, in Paris, France, on 2 April 2011. The car used is an original Fiat 500 from 1972. The event was organised by IKEA France in order to promote car pooling during ‘Green Week’ in France.

The most people dribbling a basketball simultaneously was 7,556 during an event organised by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Rafah, Gaza Strip, Palestine, on 22 July 2010. The event was part of a summer games programme for children in Gaza Strip organised by UNRWA.

The most people dribbling a football (soccer ball) simultaneously was 2,068 in an event organized by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency Gaza Field Office (Palestinian Entity, West Bank-Gaza) in Rafah, Gaza Strip, on 14 July 2011. The attempt began with 2,112 participants but 44 participants were deducted for not meeting the requirements of needing to dribble around a cone course for a minimum of five minutes.

Most people dressed as sunflowers

The largest gathering of people dressed as sunflowers consists of 724 people and was achieved by Russell Lothrop and Northside Primary School (both Botswana) in Gaborone, Botswana, on 14 February 2014. Russell Lothrop was 10 years old when he applied to attempt the record and organized the event at his school after noticing a lack of records set in his home country of Botswana.
