Tallest Swing Carousel

The tallest swing carousel, called “Prater Turm” is 117 metres (383.8 ft) and is operated by FUNTIME HandelsgmbH. It is located in the City of Vienna and was measured at the Vienna Recordia event in Vienna, Austria, on 26 September 2010. Vienna Recordia 2010 record. Olaf Kuchenbecker adjudicated. A Swing Carousel is also known as ‘Chair-O-Planes and is predominately a fairground/theme park ride.

Tallest swing

The tallest swing measures 88 m (288 ft 8 in) from the seat to the top of the cross bar and was constructed by B!g Rush (South Africa) in Durban, South Africa, on 14 May 2011. The swing was installed in the Moses Mabhida Stadium, where it was attached to the roof. Participants could swing from a platform across the football ground. For safety reasons the swings seat was 9 metres above the ground.

Tallest sweetcorn (maize) plant

The tallest sweetcorn (maize) plant measures 10.74 m (35 ft 3 inches) and was grown by Jason Karl of Allegany, NY, USA. It was measured on 22 December 2011. The Maize was measured in the horizontal position from the bottom of the botanical shoot to the top of the tassel.

Tallest sunflower

The tallest sunflower was 8.23 m (27 ft) tall when measured in Kaarst, Germany, on 04 September 2012 and belongs to Hans-Peter Schiffer (Germany). Hans-Peter Schiffer broke his own record for the tallest sunflower previously set in 2009.

Tallest sugar cube tower

The tallest sugar cube tower measured 2.08 m (6 ft 10 in) and was built by Camille Courgeon (France) in Blanquefort, France, on 1 July 2013. The completed tower used 2,669 individual cubes and was completed in 2 hours 59 minutes.

Tallest wig

The tallest wig made of hair is that by Emilio Minnicelli of Bologna, Italy. It was modeled in the main square of the Bologna Piazza Maggiore and measured 14.3 m (46 ft 11 in) tall on 15 May 2004. It weighed 26 kg.

Tallest water slide

The tallest water slide in the world is Kilimanjaro at Águas Quentes Country Club in Barra do Piraí, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is 49.9 m (163 ft 9 in) high and was constructed in 2002.

Tallest unsupported flagpole

The tallest unsupported flagpole measures 165 m (541 ft 4 in), and was erected by Trident Support (USA). It was presented and measured in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 24 May 2011. Trident support built the last 4 world record flagpoles in Abu Dhabi, UAE (123 m – 2002) in Amman, Jordan (126.8 m – 2003) in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan (133 m – 2008) in Baku, Azerbaijan (162 m – 2009)
