Most valuable carpet

The Spring Carpet of Khusraw made for the audience hall of the Sassanian palace at Ctesiphon, Iraq. It consisted of about 650 m² (7,000 ft²) of silk and gold thread encrusted with emeralds. The carpet was cut up as booty by looters in AD635 and, from the known realization value of the pieces, must have had an original value of some £100 million ($195 million).

Youngest tenpin bowling world champion

The youngest tenpin bowling world champion is Paeng Nepomuceno (Philippines, b.30 January 1957) who won the 1976 Bowling World Cup in Tehran, Iran, aged 19 years and 292 days. Paeng also holds the record for winning the most tenpin bowling world cups and for winning the most bowling titles.

Youngest sports commentator

The youngest sports commentator is Zach Spedden (USA) (b. 8 July 1992), who on 25 August 2002 called an entire nine inning baseball game aged 10 years 48 days.  The game was played at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown, Maryland, USA between the Hagerstown Suns and the Kanappolis Intimidators and broadcast on WHAG 1410 AM. Spedden also presented the pre-game show and post game analysis.

Youngest runner to complete 100 marathons (female)

The youngest female to run 100 marathons is Marina White (USA, b. 11 April 1986), aged 26 years 186 days when she completed the Amica Marathon in Newport, Rhode Island, USA, on 14 October 2012. Marina ran the first marathon at the Pacific Shoreline Marathon (now Surf City) on 4 February 2007. Youngest row across the Indian Ocean (tandem)

The youngest individuals to sail across the Indian Ocean in tandem are James Thysse (b. 8 December 1986) and Jamie Facer Childs (b. 11 July 1987) (both UK), who commenced the journey on 19 April 2009, aboard the Southern Cross, aged 22 years 4 months 12 days, and 21 years 9 months 9 days respectively, and reaching land on 31 July 2009. James and Jamie rowed as team Oz to Africa.

Youngest ringmaster

On 26 December 2005, at the age of three years old, Cranston Chipperfield (UK) became the youngest person to take the stage as master of ceremonies at the Circus Royale, Lanarkshire, UK. He is the eighth generation of ringmaster in the Chipperfield family.
