The world’s largest doner kebab sandwich weighed 413 kg (910.5 lb) and was made by the Maroosh Lebanese Café at the Applause Festival, Albury, New South Wales, Australia on 23 October 2004. Oldest man to climb Mt Kilimanjaro

The oldest man to climb Mount Kilimanjaro is Richard Byerley (USA, b. 26 Mar 1927), who reached the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, aged 84 years 71 days, on 6 October 2011. The farmer from Washington, USA, began scaling the mountain on 2 October 2011 at noon through Machame Route, accompanied by his grand children, Bren, aged 24, and Annie, aged 29, who also conquered Kilimanjaro, and reached Africa’s highest peak on 6 October 2011 at 6:15 a.m.

The most kites flown simultaneously is 12,350 and was achieved by children of the Gaza Strip at an event organised by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency at Al-Waha beach, Gaza Strip, on 28 July 2011. In order to be counted all kites must be flown for a minimum of 30 seconds. In this attempt 2,231 kites were disqualified for not staying aloft for the required time.

The highest beer keg toss (male) is 7.30 m (23.95 ft) and was achieved by Benjamin Hedermann (Germany) on the set of ‘Guinness World Records- CCTV’ in Beijing, China, on 4 December 2011. Benjamin is a German strongman and professional shot putter. He achieved the record on his third attempt.

The longest kiss lasted 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds and was achieved by Ekkachai Tiranarat and Laksana Tiranarat (both Thailand) at an event organised by Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Pattaya, in Pattaya, Thailand, on 12-14 February 2013. Nine couples entered the annual competition, including a married couple in their 70s. However, it was previous record holders Ekkachai Tiranarat and Laksana Tiranarat who came out on top, scooping a cash prize and two diamond rings as well as another Guinness World records title.
