The longest model train measured 282.11 m (925 ft 6 in) and was made up of 31 locomotives and 1,563 carriages. It was constructed by the Wilmington Railroad Museum Model Railroad Committee (USA) and was presented and measured in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA, on 23 April 2011 The scale of the train was 1:87.1 (H0). The scale length of the train is 24.571 km (15.27 miles).
The longest motorcycle is 26.29 m (86 ft 3 in) long and was created by Bharat Sinh Parmar (India). It was presented and measured at Lakhota lake, Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, on 22 January 2014.
The jigsaw puzzle with the most pieces consisted of 551,232 pieces and was completed with an overall measurement of 14.85 x 23.20 m (48 ft 8.64 in x 76 ft 1.38 in) by 1,600 students of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), at the Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 24 September 2011. The deepest manned ocean descent was achieved by Dr Jacques Piccard (Switzerland) and Lt. Donald Walsh (USA) who piloted the Swiss-built US Navy bathyscaphe Trieste to a depth of 10,911 m (35,797 ft) in the Challenger Deep section of the Mariana Trench on 23 January 1960. Challenger Deep is thought to be the deepest point on earth and is situated 400 km (250 miles) south-west of Guam in the Pacific Ocean (™ Oceans deepest).
The highest mountain in the world is Mount Everest. Its peak rises to 8,848 m (29,028 ft 9 in) – the highest point in the world. First known as Peak XV on the Tibet – Nepal border, it was discovered to be the world’s highest mountain in 1856 by the Survey Department of the Government of India, from theodolite readings taken in 1849 and 1850. The longest scarf knitted whilst running a marathon is 3.70 m (12 ft 1.75 in) and was knitted by David Babcock (USA) at the Kansas City Marathon in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, on 19 October 2013.
