The largest cut cat’s eye apatite is 1,861.50 carats (372.3 grams; 13.13 oz) and measures 65.67 x 64.97 x 52.44 mm (2.58 x 2.55 x 2.06 in). It is owned by Sushmorre (Singapore).

GIA report confirms that gem quality apatite cat’s eye may be recovered from many sources around the world, but the vast majority of material from all these sources usually produces only small, high quality finished stones or large stones of lower quality. Rough crystals that will cut large fine stones are occasionally found but are in the minority. Large gem-quality apatite cat’s-eye of over 1,800 carats can be considered scarce.
