Largest muffin

The largest muffin weighed 88.7 kg (195.55 lb), measuring 79 cm (2 ft 7 in) in diameter and 45.5 cm (1 ft 6 in) in height, was baked by master baker Gerhard Hinz (Germany) at the Schanzenbackerei bakery in Hamburg, Germany, on 27 February 2010.

The muffin was made with help of a pop band called Queensberry in an event organised by Rocky Mountain Marshmallows. For its preparation 50 kg (110.2 lb) wheat flour, 19 kg (41.89 lb) butter and 5 kg (176.37 lb) marshmallows were used. After the measurement was taken, the muffin was given away to the audience against a donation for Hospice Hamburg Leuchtfeuer in the front of the Schanzenbackerei bakery store in the shopping mall Monckeberstrasse, in Hamburg, Germany. A total donation of 300 Euros had been raised with this event.
