The largest pupusa is 4.25 m (13 ft 11 in) and was made by Tropical (El Salvador), a brand of the Coca-Cola company, at Parque de Antiguo Cuscatlán, in San Salvador, El Salvador, on 25 November 2012.
The circumference of the pupusa was 13.44 m (44 feet 1 inch). It took a total of 30 chefs to make the pupusa, using the following ingredients: 150 lbs (68 kg) of corn flour, 90 lbs (40 kg) of cheese, 50 lbs (22 kg) of ground pork and 50 lbs (22 kg) of refried beans. It took 3 hours to mix and lay out the pupusa into the cooking apparatus, which used coal as the cooking method, and 15 minutes to cook. The pupusa was cut into 2,000 pieces and served to attendees of the record-breaking event.
