The largest salad weighed 19,050 kg (41,998 lb) and was achieved by Kaufland and Salve Club (both Romania) at the Exporom Exhibition Center in Pantelimon, Bucharest, Romania, on 23 September 2012.

The salad was presented in a rectangular vessel which measured 17 m and 92 cm (58 ft 9.51 in) in length, 2 m 94 cm (9 ft 7.75 in) in width and 53 cm (1 ft 8.87 in) in depth. The weight of the vessel was 440 kg (970.03 lb). 1,000 volunteers (all in possession of a health certificate) prepared the salad from 10:00 am until 17:00 pm on 23 October 2012. After the record attempt the salad was in part distributed to the visitors and in part donated to an animal farm.
