The largest sock drive in 8 hours consisted of 2,459 pairs of socks, collected by Kaiser Permanente (USA) in San Diego, California, USA on 7 December 2012.

Along with socks, Kaiser Permanente collected 300 pairs of shoes that were not counted as part of this record. Both socks and shoes were donated to local charities after the event.
