Largest vacuum chamber

The world’s largest vacuum chamber is the Space Power Facility, at NASA’s Glenn Research Center, Plum Brook Station, Sandusky, Ohio, USA. It measures 30.4m (100ft) in diameter and 37m (122ft) in height. It can sustain a high vacuum of 10-6 ( -6 is superscript, will change once on database) torr and simulate solar radiation using a 4 megawatt quartz heat lamp array, as well as temperatures as low as -195.5C (-320F). It is used to test the performance of spacecraft and space hardware, prior to launch.
