The longest nougat measures 695 m (2,280 ft 1.15 in) and was achieved at an event organised by the city of Mazzarino and Don Carmelo Bilardo (Italy) with the help of over 200 Sicilian confectioners under the direction of Master Confectioner Nicola Fiasconaro. The nougat was prepared and displayed in Mazzarino, Sicily, Italy, on 23 September 2011.

The Cubata, a local recipe of Arabic origin, included 1,350 kg (2,976 lb) of locally grown almonds and 1,350 kg (2,976 lb) of sugar. The final product, which took 16 hours to make, weighed 2,500 kg (5,511 lb) and was 10 cm (3.94 in) wide and 2 cm (0.79 in) thick.
