The longest running classical music TV programme is Daimei no Nai Ongakukai (TV Asahi, Japan) which has been aired continuously since 6 July 1969.

The weekly programme first aired on 1 August 1964 but it briefly finished in September 1968. It features a full orchestra on each show.
