Longest video games marathon playing a football game

The longest marathon playing a football video game lasted 38 hr 49 min 13 sec and was achieved by Marco Ramos and Efraim Ie (both Portugal) who played Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 (Konami, 2011) at the Alegro Alfragide Shopping Mall, Lisbon, Portugal from 18-20 November 2011.

Following a false start due to a power cut, Marco and Efraim powered through the 38 hours, playing each other, the game’s computer AI and a selection of online opponents. The attempt was sponsored by the game’s developer and publisher, Konami.
