Most gold medals won at a single Winter Olympic Games – Country

Canada won a record 14 gold medals at the XXI Winter Olympiad held at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from 12-28 February 2010.

On home soil, Canada won medals in the following events: Ice hockey (men), ice hockey (women), curling (men), snowboard men’s parallel giant slalom, speed skating men’s team pursuit, short track speed skating men’s 5000m relay, short track speed skating men’s 500 m, bobsleigh (women’s), freestyle skiing – ladies’ ski cross, figure skating ice dance, men’s skeleton, speed skating ladies 1,000m, ladies’ snowboard cross and freestyle skiing men’s moguls. Before the 2010 record-setting haul, no Canadian had ever won gold in a home Olympics (Summer: Montreal 1976; Winter: Calgary 1988).
